How is the northern end of 251 Mission for deer?
« on: October 22, 2020, 10:54:30 AM »
I've got the whole weekend to play, so I'm considering trying something different than my normal blacktail hunting. How is the general area around Cole's Corner? I've got a WeyCo pass.

There are some resident deer around Cole Corner.  The weather might start pushing some out of the hills.  It is very thick and brushy

I was up that permit area on Tuesday and there were half dozen or so hunters. Never heard any shots or saw any deer. But that could change or could have changed. As you know there are a lot of clear cuts you can glass.

The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.
