He was about 1/4 mile from the camera. There is active logging going on so I think it pushed him out of his core area.
If you dont do it this year, you'll be one year older when you do!

Congrats smith_22, nice bucks! I was wondering if the logging would have an effect of you, looks like not so much.

Thanks again for all the comments.  Justy, surprisingly the logging didn't really push the deer around too much.  Have you noticed a difference because of it in your area?

Smitth-22, there is a property owner between the two pieces of timber land that you and I are hunting that put up a fence this summer and started running cattle, that had an effect, I'm pretty sure the deer used that area as a corridor between the two areas. The bucks you and your dad shot were not on our cameras this year but they were last year and over all we had way less bucks on camera this year. We did see an uptick of buck movement Oct.23 and there are still a couple nice bucks moving in our area. I took this guy Oct. 30 out of a ground blind in a area that we had a lot of does on camera. Again congrats on your bucks, the one you shot was also on my hit list.
