Who runs one?  Have you put a red dot on it?

Suitable for grouse head popping?

I have not put a red dot on mine, but I have 2 pmr's. One I run a laser on. I like them a lot and pretty accurate. Both mine have feed issues with a full mag. So, I run 25 rounds in them and don't have many issues any more.

I also have the rifle version the CMR 2 of those and they use the same mags and have the same issues. Super accurate and light and compact and I run red dots on them.

I own one and it is super accurate.  I would thing head shooting grouse with a red dot is plenty doable.  We have shot 4 different ammo brands and it really hates certain ammo.  Others shot flawlessly and cycled flawlessly.   Experiment with ammo and find what it likes.  I also bought a speed loader which is priceless.

Thanks for the feedback, its currently in jail

I got the picatinny rail for the slide, and two boxes of different ammo for it.

I plan to go a green dot later as the red dots are a bit starry for me with my astigmatism

My daughter has one with a red dot, fun gun to shoot, and plenty of rounds after your 14th and 23rd miss : ;)

I've had mine for a long time now and they're a lot of fun and very accurate.  Like was mentioned already don't load the mags completely full I usually run mine around 27rnds and no problems but if I load them with 30 the first couple will have hiccups.

There's a company called MCARBO that makes aftermarket feed ramp and mag release as well as other little parts and pieces for the PMR/CMR 30's that's supposed to make them run smooth with a full 30 rnd mag.  I ordered their all in one kit a few months ago but it's still sitting in the bag on my reloading bench and until now I've kind of forgot about it so I have no report if it works as advertised but I'm told it makes them run smooth.

With regard to a red dot and how well they work on the PMR30's what I've read is if the red dot you put on them is very light then they still function ok but if not then the extra weight on the slide slows things down to much and they won't feed very well.  I think MCarbo makes a frame mount for red dots.

My only complaint with shooting mine is they are freakin, LOUD!, so you'll want to wear very good ear protection when you shoot it.  Also, with those mags holding as many as they do you can burn through a sh1t ton of ammo in a hurry if you shoot it much.  Pretty much all I've shot through mine is the 30gr Vmax 22mag ammo and that stuff shoots and runs really well through mine.  One other thing, the front sight screws have a way of working themselves loose I nearly lost my front sight so I recommend taking those little screws out and cleaning the threads with brake cleaner then put a drop of loctite on each one and screw them back in.  I did that with mine and they've stayed tight since.

I own a couple and all above comments are spot on. I run 27 in all my mags and have a couple American SpeedLoaders that are great.

The few years I had one I would full load the mags, give them a couple smart raps on the backside of the mag, and rarely had a feed issue. FWIW.

I really wanted to take some brag photo's about how tight I could shoot this thing, but I could barely keep a 4 inch group @ 15 yards.   I just couldn't bring myself to get the phone out my pocket and snap a pic or two for ya'll  :chuckle:

I just can't tighten them up any more with the factory sights which aren't exactly target sights, and my eyes.   I'm going to try my reading glasses that I bought just for clarifying pistol sights and try it again, and next time I'll take a bench out too.

This was standing freehand shooting.  Most of my groups were 5-6 inches at 15 yards

I'm not comfortable shooting grouse with it more than like 10 feet  :(

that speed loader is tits!

I was shooting Hornady and Federal, all I could source locally.   I had one FTF which was my first cycle, so 2nd round.   Then it was flawless but I was only loading 5 shot mags for grouping.

what kind of accuracy are you getting?

The Kenai chest holster is awesome too folks

This is my 2nd one, the other is for my G20 and man what a difference in weight on the holster between the G20 and PMR30  :chuckle:  :chuckle:   :chuckle:

I put my mule freaks bino harness on over top of the chest holster and the pistol is still very accessible as the grip isn't obscured by any straps or anything, even with backpack on.
