Curious if you prebait those guys? Will they climb a tree like a cat?

I put out baits and never set a trap until one shows up. Saves time as I might only check baits at 5 to 7 day intervals. Right now, I have 40 to 50 baits out and only 5 traps set.
Spotted skunks are good tree climbers. All my baits are in trees at near head height. Keeps the coyotes from stealing the baits. Bushy trees so the birds don't find them. I do use a run pole as I set the trap in the tree and it helps for positioning of the trap. They will never leave a bait as long as there is something to chew on.

Do you sell those and what does one of those pelts bring, if so?

Yes, I sell them all into the taxidermy market. I have some regular customers but when those orders are filled I sell on taxidermy.net. The price varies a little depending upon how a customer wants them preped. Those 5 are all sold, shipping frozen whole next week. $70/each.

$70 in the round, can’t go wrong there.👍

One might think that shipping frozen whole is just great. I mean, no work, stick 'em in bag, freeze them and stick them in the mail.
As far as I am concerned it is a pain in the rear. I much prefer to skin, and salt. Any loss in shipping is on the shipper and you are always worried about a hiccup that delays the shipment.
This very same customer ordered 6 frozen whole a few years ago and they all were lost. Cause was a delay due to the closing of a regional sorting facility. Not my fault but insurance will not cover loss due to delays in shipping. But you have to cater to the customers' requests.
