Bergera premier rifle
« on: April 01, 2025, 09:03:13 PM »
Looking for some feedback on the rifles. Break in, accuracy, action cycling, fit /finish, and in general have you been happy with them. I’m looking at a Canyon in the not to distant future. I have cycled a few Bergara actions over the last few weeks. Also looking at the Seekins PH3, but that one is going to be tough to get anytime soon. Thanks in advance for the info.

I’m looking at a 375 H&H so that bumps the Tikka. Seekins has the PH3 coming out but it will be a limited run in that caliber. I also looked grabbing a M70/700 and restock/cut/thread and Cerakote, which puts me in the same price range.
Really not a lot of current production choices in that caliber. Also I have all the components to load for it. I’ve been piecing that aspect together over the years. I loved my grandfathers gun but he sold it to a buddy in Alaska 20 years ago so that’s part of the drive for the caliber.

Don't have a premier. But my wife just got a Wilderness Sierra in 300 wm.  Following their break in is a pain but only problem is paying for the ammo these days. Lol.   Just finished the cycle and groups are right at 1 inch for a 5 shot group at 100 yrds with factory ammo.

I’d go with a Seekins. It’ll be worth the wait!

I had a premier highlander in 6.5prc and loved it! i just bought my wife a canyon in 6.5prc but she's not a fan due to the color or look after only shooting 10 rounds of it, so it just sat.  :bash: so ill be putting it on the market in a few days and now ill be rifle shopping with her so i know what she will want.

the actions are buttery smooth on premiers and they're just as accurate as a tikka IMO. brother in law has a wilnderness and its smooth but not as smooth as the premiers and damn near as accurate. brake in for myhighlander was just shooting 3 rounds and letting it cool for a few mins and letting the barrel foul up. did that with two boxes of Hornady match and shoots sub moa right away.
