Wet the fly this weekend! (1st post)
« on: July 09, 2009, 02:31:11 PM »
Well starting off, I have been lurking on this site for nearly a year now, and figured it was time to join in on such a great site. I love spending time outdoors, and enjoying nature at its finest. I love fly fishing, for anything that will bite, and just started hunting last year. When I am not able to enjoy the woods, I find myself on this site reading others stories and helpful information.

Took a 3 day weekend last week and thought I would take my fly gear and wet the line for a few days. Normally I do most of my fishing in WA, but the girlfriend and I figured we would spend sometime in central OR. Weather was hot so most of my fishing was done early in the morning and last hours of light each night. Fishing went well with around a half dozon smaller trout to hand each outing, mix of browns and bows. Lots of wildlife in the area, and time on the water made for a great weekend.

Right on the money Jackelope, stayed at Eagle Crest Resort in Redmond, fished on the property, and a few miles down river from there. Also made it up to Three Creeks lake outside of Sisters.

Look forward to story with pics in the future Walt!!!
