Silver flames?
« on: January 07, 2008, 01:12:32 PM »
Anyone have any experience with them?  I have seen some real positive reviews around the net and am too cheep to buy a pack on my own.  Are they easy to resharpen? Are they quiet in flight? are they tuff? Do they leave huge blood trails? Are they worth the money?

I am especially interested in the 100gr ones.

Id love to see some Pics of what they look like attached to an arrow if you have any?

Gotta be honest, I have never used or seen one, but the reviews I have heard from people who have used them say that they are truly the "TOP" of the broadhead food chain.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

Look like a great cut on contact design.  Holy crap they are expensive.  Priced right out of my willingness to pay.  I am shooting Muzzy 3 blades and have always had a total pass through on deer.  If I hunted elk or larger I would also go to a two blade, but probably the Muzzy also.

How do they fly? LIKE A DART!!!! This is a 100 Grain. They are not sharpened in the rear only beveled. When you consider spending $1200.00 on a Bow. $30.00 on the Business end of your arrow isn't expensive? Good Luck

I used NAP razorbaks and Loved cut on contact sharp and lots of blood. My only complaint was sometimes tuning was an issue.  Over the last three years I have been yoyoing around different brands and have not found anything that I really like.  the latest head was the slick trick and I really liked a lot about them but I was not thrilled with replaceable blades. I kept having the blades wobble.

The sliver flames have the same shape as the razorbaks but appear thicker  if they fly like field tips I may have a new head.

Now I just need to save some money so I can afford some.

Anyone shoot a deer or Elk with one?  How much damage did they do?

Slider are they easy to resharpen??

Those are sweet! 8)

Being a rookie archer........

Is it preferable to use a cut on contact two blade over a three blade for elk?  I have heard this before from some of the shows out there, but heard that a blade like the slick trick is the way to go.  I am sure it is a preference thing, but thought I would ask.

If two blades are better, then I would love to use these bad boys!
