Lake Roosevelt - San Poil
« on: June 03, 2010, 08:11:43 AM »
Hey does anyone know what the water levels are on Lake Roosevelt or more specifically if the San Poil has come up yet?  (or a place I can find that info) Looking to take my dad fishing in that area for fathers day but want to make sure the water didnt just come up the day before we arrive.....which happened before  :bash:  thanks

Compare the inflow to the outflow numbers with the midnight reservoir level.  That should give you a good idea of what's happening up stream.  A couple foot fluctuation is a lot.

thanks Steve.  Is there anywhere to find historical data that I could relate to this years levels and then use that to determine if the water has come up to a high enough level?  Or by what you said..........another 2 or 3 feet would do it?

They brought it up 1-2 foot in the last 4 days. The fishing gets messed up more on the the down drop, then it is when they rise it.  So just fish the depth where the lake was before they started rising it and not the now, if that makes any sense :twocents: If it doesn't make any sense then never mind, Good luck  Walleyes and bass are on the bite really good :fishin: I forgot to add theres some chunko smallies to be had down on the sand poil 5-6 pounders
