I bought the P22 and a friend of mine bought the Sig. The Sig felt cheap in my hands compared to The P22. He sold the Sig and bought the P22. :twocents:

I have one and its a toss up on the Misquito or the Walther (I have one of those also) The Sig seems more accurate, but only runs the highest velocity ammo and the trigger is HORRIBLE.  :twocents:

a friend of mine has one that i have shot, it shot nice with good ammo but jammed with cheap ammo. one of the reasons that he had bought the sig was for the hammer release which was nice to have for a rim-fire.

Does the mosquito come factory with a threaded barrel for .......whatever you want to hang off the end of it? Thought I looked at one of those few years back.

I agree the hammer release is something i wish i had on the P22. Both of these guns were very picky about ammo. I don't remember if his came with a threaded barrel for sure but i think it did. They are both hi end 22 pistols, I just like my P22 better. Maybe with a trigger kit I would of liked The sig equally . when shooting them both side by side Walther.

Do some research on the Mosquito. Frankly, I've never heard anything good about them. I almost bought one on a whim but didn't. It was a good thing because I started reading on them and I didn't like what I found. It's a shame because Sig is such a solid company.

I had one....I sold it though because it is very picky about what ammo it likes. Use wrong ammo and count on lots of jams/misfeeds....worked fine with CCI minimags when I could find them though.

I have one, but when it comes to the accuracy in comparison to the feeding problems they really are not worth it  :dunno: I will stick with the Ruger MKII.  Not nearly as picky with ammo & super accurate.....

I have a mosquito, I don't recommend it. I love SIG Pistols and thought it would be a nice addition. I'd recommend a Browning Buckmark or a Ruger MIII or 22/45, even a Beretta Neo or S&W 21. The Mosquito and some of the P22s can be finicky about ammo. You can make both the Walther and the SIG work but why waste time making a new gun work. You can get a number of more accurate and less problematic semi-auto .22s for less or about the same amount of money. My :twocents:

I have a Mk III 22/45 and it was the most miserable POS to get functioning correctly that I have ever seen. It probably has about 5,000 through it now and the last 2,000 have been pretty trouble free but I had to spend about 4 hours on it to get it fairly reliable and about another 4 to get it flawlessly so, ad in another 2 hours to make a hammer shim and do a trigger job on it and it's perfect.

I had to remove the lci (loaded chamber indicator) as it would cause a failure to extract, no big deal just have an open slot in the side of the receiver. I also removed the magazine safety, that fixed the failure to feed issue it had that was caused by pressure on the magazine (holding it forward and tilted slightly down), removing that also cured the magazines getting stuck in the well and made the gun much simpler and IMO safer to work on. Having to put the magazine into the pistol as part of the field stripping and reassembly process is retarded and just asking to unintentionally and possibly unknowingly load the gun. Removing that safety and spending some quality time on the hammer and sear did WONDERS for the trigger, Volquartzen can lick my ass!
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.
