Hooded Merganser
« on: December 28, 2010, 01:27:18 PM »
As I stated in the photogrphy section, I'd have liked to have had these shot and mounted.   I never thought I'd like a merganser.

I'm merganser free this year, for the first time  :P, but if I were to take one a drake hoodie would be the way to go. Very pretty birds.
Everyone shoots three times per bird, right?

My buddy shot a pair of 'em (drake and hen) when I was over with him at mid-month.  The dog didn't even want to go get 'em.  LOL  Purdy birds though.

If you want them I see them all the time here on the Island.  If you want I can try and get a pair for you.
