no longer a virgin...
« on: May 01, 2011, 01:10:01 PM »
Found my first shed, first day of trying, and a late start like 9am at oakcreek  :chuckle:. A 4pt deer right side, ill take a pic of it later when I get my memory/simcard for my phone replaced.

Oh ya bunch of campers at the base. Ran into a few hikers. Main road had trucks goin up, atvs, and horses but they all started to head down bout 11ish. Some were headin up to bear lake/oak creek rd. I dunno how much pressure that got earlyer since I went up a lil ways.

Congrats to you Instinct. I was up in bear canyon not a sole for miles except my brother. we saw at least 100 deer and over 400 elk probley hiked 10 - 12 miles. Not one shed. i did spot one bull still packin the right side, hollered at my brother to come look and then when i refound him he was bald. Walked all over where he was bedded and never found it. Drove threw the station around 1230 and most of the sheds we seen were straped to 4 wheelers.

Congrats.

I was a virgin until the age of 43

Did not find my first elk shed until I was 43 years old.
