Looking for future hunting partner in Northeastern WA
« on: June 12, 2012, 05:35:09 AM »
Hi,

I live in Colorado right now, but after I get out of the Army next March, I'll be moving to the Colville area. I've been hunting Antelope, turkey, deer, duck- pretty much anything you can eat in CO. I'm mid 20's and in shape, so if you need an extra set of hands to help drag your deer or elk outta the woods next year, I'm your man. I've been rifle hunting, but I'd like to start archery as well.  8)

NE, good for deer.  Hated it for elk.  I live in Spokane and usually hit near Yakima for elk, though this year got drawn for cow in Colockum.  WDFW keeps good track of harvests and you'll see the elk numbers are much bigger in east Cascades.  Ducks are good in Tri Cities and along Columbia river.  Bowhunting is the way to go in this state.

Good to know. I know there's a few guys from my in laws' church that bagged elk in the last few years, but I'm not sure if they got 'em around Colville or not (probably somewhere else). Either way, I like it all- deer, squirrel, mushrooms  especially together

NO NO Never eat Deer Squirl and mushrooms together unless you add Salt and Pepper.  :chuckle:

Best thing you can do is find fellow service men who also have the same intrests when you arrive in Wa. Don't let the rain scare you away.
