Utah youth tag
« on: June 21, 2012, 07:12:02 PM »
My third daughter to draw one of 20 Utah any bull tags for the youth. Great hunt.Last two daughters shot 320" and a 265" bull. Fun to hunt them in the peak of the rut and watch their eyes bug out at the sound of a bugle. Nice to be the only ones in the woods also. Kids love it!
Oh yeah she also drew a cow tag! Two elk in one trip....I hope
If we were supposed to be vegetarian God would have made broccoli more fun to shoot!
"HOYT" why would you even consider shooting something else?

That sounds like an awesome hunt.  Rifle?
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Yeah a rifle hunt. Starts sep. 15.
Most people dont know that Utah has several general units. They all hold big bulls just not as many as the trophy units. The tag costs are way cheaper than the premium draws too. The nice thing is there is no other hunt at this time in these units except for the youth tag holders. Makes for an awesome hunt if you can draw.
We have muzzloaded these units in nov. under a general tag and have almost 100% success. No draw necessary.

Does Utah charge less for youth tags, or is it the same?
