I have two or 3 different bipod that attach to the sling swivel... I use to use them on different rifles for squirrel hunting, even tried them for big game hunting... they now collect dust around here some place.

I do carry a bipod with me in many cases but is on of those lightweight aluminum shooting sticks.

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!

I used a Shooter's Ridge Harris style bipod on my Knight Bighorn a couple of years back.  It made for a heavy rifle and when I ended up shooting my deer off hand that year I ended up not needing it.  However it did work out pretty nice when I was setting up in a couple of spots.  I picked up the one with the swivel base so I can set up on uneven ground and it gives me a little more wiggle room.

Last year I picked up a set of those Primos Trigger Sticks, however it was back in the truck when I shot that deer off hand as well.  Lol.  Depending on the area I am muzzleloading, I still may use the bipod again.

I had one on a 300 wsm.... Took it off and sold it after I shot an elk and deer using off hand and a standard sitting position like I was taught..... Lightened the rifle about 2 1/2 pounds.... I guess if you just sat in one spot all day it would be great....
