repainted decoys

I repainted some of my goose decoys this last week and was some input of how they looked.. be completely honest.. these are flambeau floaters that were black..they just didn't look that good.. I used khaki, brown and black on some of them. I haven't added any clear coat or anything yet.

Those look great!  I have some old decoys I would love to make look like that.  What type of paint did you use and did you free hand paint or use stencils?  What kind of sealant are you going to put on them?  thanks

Thanks for the coments guys...  I used rustoleum camp khaki tan spray paint for the base coat. I just covered the whole decoy in it. Then i uaed some brown rustoleum spray paint and held the decoy straight up and down so it wouldn't cover the grooves and it would leave a feather like for looked.  I all matter finishes so there's no shine.. for the clear coat I'm going to use a matter clear just one or two coats..

Did you use a white with the Titanium oxide in it? It reflects UV pretty good... I'm redoing my white on several with it... The brand i used from a cracft store was Americana Snow(titanium) white Code: DAO1-3  Can be had at many craft stores.

For the white yes that is exactly what I used and I also got mine at a little craft store.. each decoy took about 1hr. But I did several at a time...
