Huge Momma Bear and the twins
« on: July 17, 2012, 03:29:46 PM »
Had the best morning!!  Went to set a trail cam targeting Bear in an area I tried last year with no luck but lots of sign and a few big bucks that I wouldn't mind hunting when it comes time.  Found this big ol' girl and her twins hangin about.  I kinda blew up my original plan by backing out and dropping all my gear to put a practice stalk on them.  Two hours later hear are the best 6 pics I got.  Got busted by a baby about an hour in but Mom and brother didn't even notice so they stayed around.  Brother climbed a tree while mom ripped apart stumps and logs.  I got within 30 yards then backed away to 50 before the tree climber saw me and started bahhing.  Mom didn't seem to worried and kept ripping Sht up.  Wind shifted and she had me, she started amblin my way so I stood up slowly and started to walk away as she made a break for it leaving brother in the tree.  Hope the babies daddy presents himself this year!!!  Or it's momma next year after she gets the next generation started in the world.

Gorgeous boo boo....
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

Really cool. Great that everything worked out perfect for you.
