Anyone fish williams lake (spokane)
«
on:

We are headed out there for a family reunion, wondering what the word is on fishing. Most likely going to be off shore/dock. Hoping to get my 2.5 yearold daughter on some fish. Any reports or tips would be appreciated. Thanks
Jason

Which resort are you staying at? I haven't been to Klinks in a few years, but Bunkers is pretty nice (a little more rustic though). We did well there a month or so ago, we were tossing back anything under 12 inches. I was doing well with anything red, power bait or eggs.

Me too. Fewer skiers, jet skis, restless kids, loud music from ski boats...
I dove (scuba) when I was there, trust me there is a HUGE difference in the distance you can see underwater from one end of the lake to the other. Even though it's shallower, the Bunker's end of the lake is waaaaaayyy clearer. That means, on that end of the lake, color of bait/lures is more important.
Good luck!

The power baits in chartreuse and yellow work the best for me. I'd personally rent a boat and head past the reedy patches down from the public boat launch and anchor just outside the weeds near that floating log. 4 lb test going through a small egg weight with split shot creating about a 1-2 foot leader with #12 treble. My 5 year old daughter caught a 23 inch rainbow the last time we were out and caught more 14-16 inch rainbows than I care to eat. We've hit the perch and bluegills on Silver lake since then. Could eat those filets forever.

Thanks for the info fellas. Hoping to Rent a boat and try to keep my 2 yearold inside it. If all else fails I'll hit the dock around dusk, kick back and head to cold one city, USA
