Thanks guys, just got him home.  I quartered him on the side of the mountain, road my Dual sport home and got the truck.  The pack was only about 350 yards but it was 350 yards straight up and straight down.  I swear my first bear was not as heavy as this one's hide.

This season has been great so far.  On the first day I saw a little bear and passed on him (in the same clear cut, also the same clear cut I shot my sow last year).  Yesterday I was sitting above this same clear cut glassing across the valley and saw one about a mile away on a different clear cut but there was no way for me to get to him.  So today I decided I would go where I saw the bear yesterday.  When I got to the top of the little mountain across from my "killin field" I started glassing and saw this guy.     So I started "running", that one mile as a crow fly's is about two on logging roads!  When I got down to the bottom of the clear cut he was still there and completely unaware.  180gr Accubond did it's job well.

The Mustache must be lucky or something  :dunno:

Nicely done!
Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate. - Psalm 127:3-5
