I wanted to post a few LESS OBVIOUS examples of things to look for with bear....bushes are great story tellers....keep a good eye on trail side bushes.
A few examples of what to look for while bear hunting....these were taken the last time I went out.

Ripe wild vine (low ground) running black berries....often one of the first berries to ripen.

Fresh grubbin action (tore up stump/log)....there was black bear hair on the sticker bushes right by log...

Prime example of where a bear beat the brush, eating berries.

Note the over turned leaves, there was hair on the leaves and obvious eating of stems, leaves.

Bear busting brush again...eating berries off this bush. Note the busted up branches, missing berries, turned over leaves...etc.

I have seen bushes along spur roads that look like something had walked through them but I always second guess myself. especially since I did not see any scat in the area

I'll definetly start looking around for the hair on the matted areas on the sticks. I remember seeing hair on cedar post when out camping with my dad. They would rub on the post and I would always look for the hair. Great post with great information!

Dude,

I think a couple of those examples you got wrong,  I know for a fact that at least 2 or 3 of those pictures were in fact bigfoot.

Ok the last pic was a bear, as we all know sasquatch always bury their dung - and dead.... but I digress.

Have you collected any of the hair for DNA samples?
