Grandson goes 2 for 2
« on: October 14, 2012, 03:06:14 PM »
Last year my Grandson had just turned 12 and it was his first year of hunting and he scored on a nice whitetail buck on Sun of opening weekend.
Well, he turned 13 last month and last night he downed another whitetail buck.
He seems to be doing better than a lot of the old seasoned hunters.  He shoots a
243.

That's what we call a mule deer in eastern Washington, they aren't all whitetail here east of the cascades : )

Great buck, congrats to the kiddo but agreed, definitely not a whitetail.

My boo-boo guys.  I never even looked.  There are both whitetail and mulies on the
farm.  Whitetail are by far the most prevalent animal shot there.
I know the difference, been hunting 59 years.  Like I said, I didn't even look
that close at the picture.  Sorry
