Hunt 1502 info
« on: August 03, 2012, 09:46:55 PM »
I need to know at what mile marker the "elk drift fence" intersects with Tucannon rd as discribed in the area descriptions for gmu 178 Peola.

My grandsons 11 & 13 yr olds passed their hunter safety classes and also drew the 1502 hunt. I am guessing the "elk drift fence" is a tall stock fence I just need to be sure of its location. At mile marker.x...would have been a better discription than some where along Tucannon road. Thanks for any information. Paul

Not finding alot that is helpful in answering your question.   I would sugguest contacting the WDFW biologist for that area.   Good luck, looking forward to seeing pic's of those huge smiles when they tip their critters over!

You can vaguely see the fence from Google Earth. Heading South on Tuccannon Rd it is just before the intersection of FR-020. Off the top of my head I would think mile marker 22 would put you right in the neighborhood.

Your grandsons should have no problem finding a doe over there you may want to write down a few numbers off of fences, and do some calling athead of time there is allot of private land down there.  I will say though most landowners are pretty cool when it comes to the kids we have hunted down there for a few years, and my kids always fill their tags.
