Finally got the 1st one of the year. Dogs are fat and out of shape but got it done. Had 4 pups and 3 older dogs. Too many pups to try to work with in one day, just wanted to play and none of them have been working on treeing much. In the video you can see the older dogs, Moose, Girl, and Stella. Girl got slapped in the mouth by this bear, bear bailed from 3 different trees, one right when I got there. It could of been more trees but I only saw 3 of them. Not sure when Girl got slapped but each time it bailed it leapt from the tree, dogs were right on it and it would tree 100yds away or so. Girl and Moose are who the pups will be out of, she will be bred in 2-3 days:

Also for anyone who was interested already these pups will have their tails bobbed like a heeler. If that is a breaking point for you because you are dead set on looks then I'm sorry. Unless I have something worked out with you that's the way these dogs will look. Personally I like the way it looks a lot and their tail isnt whipping and bleeding on the end because of brush, or when I load em on top of the rigging rack I'm not getting slapped by their tail in the face.

Haha yeah it does hurt, especially when it's face level and just whips you harder than hell. The dogs I've had with bobbed tails have had 0 issues with balance of any kind. One I had was the most evasive/coordinated dog I've ever seen, I couldn't catch him for the life of me if he was jumping around me trying to play and bay me up as a pup, when he got older he was hell on wheels on bears and I saw him work a bear with zero issues. Could make cuts when running and didn't have any issues changing directions with a bear on a the ground. Maybe we have had different experience with balance issues on them. I've noticed that if you do it as small pups and they don't have a tail to begin with then they don't know any different. I had a heeler who had a bobbed tail and that dog had great balance with zero issues to. I think the same goes for certain bird dogs with bobbed tails. Not saying that some dont but I have never seen/had any issues with it. Also I forgot to mention that Moose and Girl locked up today, probably let them lock up one more time and she should definetly be bred.

I think I have 7-8 pups spoken for so far. Pups should be born around July 2-3 or so. They will be ready to go between 8-12 weeks, I like to do some things with them to get them going at a real young age, hopefully they will be firing hard on a caged cat or coon and I'll do some lion scent drags with em to get them using their nose, among other things. Here's a video of a pup out of Moose named Radar (WaCoyoteHunter owns him and the mom) He's 8-9 months old, can see more story write ups of him in the Hound Hunting section that WaCoyoteHunter did. He's the dog with a lot white on his body with a lot of ticking, his lower legs have red ticks.

Anyone who was interested in a pup send me a private message so I know for sure you are interested and I can collect a small $50 deposit. Got some other people interested and I want to make sure I'm fair and give whoever got ahold of me first, first dibs. I've tried to get ahold of some of you but haven't got a response back. Here's WaCoyoteHunters pup out of Moose named Radar (dog with a bloodied up mouth during the video) and his littermate Patches (redtick looking little female) on her first bear tree, just started to get her treeing:

I just watched all his videos, I didn't see anything close to questionable in how he handled any of the dogs...? :dunno:

haha- I suppose you train your hounds with a feather duster??  I don't think you have a clue, and I don't think BuckNaze cares if you get a pup or not, but thanks for your input.

:yeah:

I've only met bucknaze once, but I can say that every dog looked to be treated very well as well as the kennels kept up. Any shocking device, or even a stick for that matter, can be abused if in the hands of the wrong owner. Seen a few guys that treat their dogs like *censored* and it shows, in no way what so ever did I see that with any of his hounds.

I'd also say those will be some very good pups if there's any left, can't wait for my litter out of moose. Pups are due any day now.
