Drano lake steelhead question

Was up at drano the other day, fishing was fair to good but I struggled to get a fish. Question, some boats were catching fish on a regular basis, What depth should you set your bobber? I fished from 1 to 5 feet off the bottom, but the fish finder was also showing alot of fish in the 13 to 19 feet level, was not sure if they were steelhead or not, but after talking to some people I think they might have been. Also, is purple shrimp better than red at drano?

Play around with different depths baits until you figure it out.

They change a lot and you always have to be moving stuff around with a bobber down there.  Keep at it there is a lot of fish in there at times and when it's hot, it's hot Maybe a couple different types of bait as well.
