Camping behind 1900 closure??
« on: August 31, 2012, 06:13:13 PM »
I'm thinking of getting in behind the 1900 closure on the 9th Sunday, camp until they open road on ? Fri ?  Anyone else?  Figure the pressure should be lower?  I would hate to harvest one without being able to get it out quickly. Is the backroad to Greenwater open and do-able for a f350? I'll prob drive it on Sunday just to make sure. I scouted up there a ton this summer, found bear and elk, not too many deer.  My deer spot looks to be on fire.
Hunting, Basketball, Cars.... not much more for me to talk about.

We are planning on biking in after the closure.  Should cut traffic quite a bit  :)

few weeks ago the closure was prob 2 miles in, at the narrow washed out spot in the road, stop sign barricade etc.  I called office and they said they are working near the "fish ladder"  ??  for next weeks closure, thats only abt a mile up from the 410. long way away from my hunt. hope to get in and find and exit sunday. White f350 dually if you need any help hauling or packing out.

The 70 Road from there over to Greenwater is passable. Just did it a few days ago. Real bumpy, especially in an unloaded 1 ton, but easily passable. Saw a few elk on the way over too.

I was just up there yesterday and the 1914 road is passable but the 1913 is closed at the bridge and they have big boulders blocking the road.
