Scored at cabelas last night!!
« on: September 07, 2012, 08:35:39 AM »
Went to cabelas to kill some time last night and looked in their used gun section which I always do.  Most of the time anything that interests me is over priced, but that was not the case last night!!  Picked this Remington 700 338 rum with badger ordinance base and rings, bell and Carlson stock and on top of it when I get home and take it apart it has a timney trigger in it.   All this for $615 out the door.. :IBCOOL:

You have to nab the brass up when you find it, most places are out of stock. I just lurked the classifieds on 24hourcampfire and picked up some there. Then I purchased some Nolser Custom brass through Natchez.

Check the Shootersproshop.com (Nosler seconds) for .338 bullets. You can get them for about half price. I picked up enough 225gr Accubonds to last both my brother and I's rifles through the rest of this year.

Score! You will love that stock, I have one on my .308 and it's fantastic, mine likes the action screws torqued at 65 in. lbs.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.
