Hancock elk hunters, who picked the archery tag??
« on: September 11, 2012, 06:39:08 AM »
Just curious if anyone knows someone that drew the hancock elk and picked archery? I wonder if they are letting them in to hunt or just out of luck? What a bummer year to draw it if they don't let them in, anyone??

If they did pick to hunt it archery, they are out of luck.  Hancock doesn't give anything back to those who chose archery.  I talked with Clyde and he told me "sucks to be you if you chose archery."  No sympathy shown.

I don't have a tag and I am frustrated about this dry weather enough as it is, I couldn't imagine getting the tag and not being able to use it! Even though its POURED the last 2 nights... its soaked everywhere... I had to get out and check  :chuckle: I don't know how anyone could start a fire right now , like I said it's soaked up here.

Ouch! That really sucks, you'd think they could just let the one or two guys in to do their special hunt. I doubt more than one guy picked it if any anyways. All they would have to do is have a meeting with the hunter or hunters and make sure they know what can happen if they screw around. Mabey have Clyde in the same area as them to make sure they didn't start no fire. That tag is very hard to draw, they should give some exceptions.
