Steep timber cow.
« on: September 14, 2012, 09:04:26 PM »
This is my second archery elk in as many years. Walked in about 2.5 miles cow calling here and there a little, finally found one that showed some interest. Shot her at 51 yards up hill ,double lung and she went about 50 yards give or take before crashing and piling up against a cedar tree. The only picture i have, my brother in law took when we had her half way quartered. Hope the picture works. Fun hunt.

Good for you, not many people would go in that deep for a cow.

Hike in 2.5 miles from a road and you'll likely be sucessful every year :) way to do what it took for the cow!
