Thanks for sharing your story not just of the experience of taking such a great bull but also in the preparation
of the hunt. I think far to many people miss out on some great experiences in the woods because they're not prepared for what it takes. Train n hunt hard. Even within 3 days of having my L5-S1 fused together I spent a month with a walker try to make it around the block. By early archery I was up down trails, crawling thru slash and wind fall in drainages and loving every minute of it. The only part i was not able to participate in was pack boarding meat out that year. 2 yrs latter I am able to put some serious miles in and when meat falls. My buddies allow me the privilege of putting on the pack and humping meat out.
