Went out for a High Buck alpine hunt and ended up taking a nice bear instead. She was an old sow with broken canines and almost nonexistent incisors. Nice light chocolate hide gettingtrilled in for winter. She was a fat girl an would have done well this winter.
I took most of the meat and hide which weighed #78 on a scale. Hide had head and feet intact And close skinned, I trimmed most of the fat off the meat as well. There was one shoulder and part of the neck not salvageable, it was cooking hot with flies a pleanty so I did not take a lot of time really picking the carcass.
What would people estimate the weight at? My guess was >200 and <250.
I would post a pic but can't figure out how from the IPad.
