Back from Archery hunt (204)
« on: September 20, 2012, 08:24:54 PM »
We own property in the 204 area, close to 1800 acres of hunting. Was very hot all week, 85 degrees. Lots of smoke from the fires in Brewster. Lots of hunters up there with no luck. Deer would not come out until past shooting time. Saw lots of bucks in the am, but they were not within bow range. We had to leave our honey hole due to heat and go up higher on public land. Shot a doe last night. A 3x3 was with her but he needed to grow.

No pics lol. Just wanted to give ya an update from the 204 area. Its real real dry, we drove down toroda creek rd for the fun of it, not one deer in the fields which is nuts and that was at 630p. 2 nights in a row, just too darn hot.

I leave for elk in the am. Sun Valley ID here i come!

Glad to hear the hunting was slow :chuckle:. I'm from the area but usually put most of my efforts into the late season waiting for a lunker. I did hear about someone getting a 6x7 out of 204 though(just hear-say, not confirmed).

I've seen the picture. A friend of mine showed me the picture. The guy had just bought the bow a week bsfore, 1st year archery and shot it west of Republic 4 miles. It was on private property of course. I was a hog !!!
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............
