You go out this morning?  Stillwater was assaulted by the Orange Army with sprinters leading the way. Ended up getting one hen after the crowd dispersed and some left after getting "rained" on.

I live in Redmond and will hunt there.......long after the sneaks who are there 20 minutes early standing out in the fields or running like morons.

I go around noon or so. Most of the runners are gone. No cheats standing out on the bridge between fields.

The people who ruin it for others disgust me.

The hunt should be about watching your dog work. If you feel the need to start early or run with a shotgun in your hand to get your birds....you are no hunter.

Get real guys. You scare me. Are you a hunter? No...you are not. You a fool who has a gun that shouldn't.

Rant over.......grow up, get real and for goodness sake, stop being a fool. I feel sorry for you.

Happy hunting!

:yeah:

sometimes I wonder if the people in charge of the pheasant release sites actually spend any time on one.  the stupid shenanigans I have seen shortly after 8:00 am on any given release site would be enough to fill a very depressing book.

I would be all in favor of having a secret shooter out in the fields- a gamey or volunteer posing as a pheasant hunter and writing up tickets for bad, stupid, and generally unethical behavior.

This typical "me first" mentality will eventually lead to the demise of the pheasant release program. Over crowding doesn't help either. It's inevitable that conflicts and accidents will occur and program managers know this. When sites get shut down and not replaced with suitable ones, with only one small site left in a county everyone flocks to it thus disaster being the result ending in that one closing too eventually. WDFW program managers and coordinators need to get on the ball and secure more suitable sites to distribute the hunters.

They have posted signs that clearly state that the units are closed to all users between the hours of 4:00pm and 8:00am.  That should help with the conflicts between the duck hunters and the pheasant hunters.
