Idaho Reservation Hunt
« on: September 29, 2012, 04:31:42 PM »
My buddy is part Couer d'Alene and Nez Perce Indian and his family has been talking about going out to Idaho for elk and deer hunting. He was trying to get me to come out with him but I can't get a straight answer out of him about:
1) if that's even legal since I'm not part of any tribe
2) when the season is and how to find out
3) the bag limits
4) how to even tag an animal - does the tribe have tags from the state? How does the process work?

Is anyone familiar with hunting a reservation in Idaho or how the requirements work? It should be good country one of his family members shot a cow elk last year - he just can't find out any of the details I've been asking about. Thanks

Not sure about Idaho, but I know that in WA you can't hunt with a tribal member if you are not registered as a member.

I know a guy who used to hunt it, killed some dandy whitetails there. I've lost touch with him now or I would ask him about it.
