Hey guys, have any of you had good success at the higher elevation lakes? I like the topos of some of them and thinking of scouting them out. just thought I would kick the tires here about it.

well if the lake is in the Wilderness area then it would be part of the high hunt unless it is in the Wild Sky Wilderness. But thats not to exclude it from the general season. Anyone that hunts the high hunt knows that it can be more of a hiking and camping trip and if you are fortunate enough to take a deer thats a bonus.

They're usually better for duck hunting than deer hunting. Bring lots of shells!

I am an archery hunter actually. Love those high lakes, but never hunted them.I know bucks hang in alpine areas, just curious if the lake bowls produce. Thanks for the input guys.
