Anyone been up to the Ahtanum lately.  I heard that the middle fork road is closed Monday through Friday.

I spoke with DNR guy today.  There is NO way they are closing it down.  He actually said they are going to keep the road closure during the week until Nov. 30.

Hopefully DNR makes enough money to pay for the damage the logging trucks will cause to the roads with that amount of traffic.

pretty piss poor policy in my opinion on the dnr part, we have to do pre haul and post haul maint. on haul routes, which means they pick the route that every broke dick and their dog has spent years tearing up and then make the loggers responsibility to fix it up before hauling and then fix it again after hauling, the whole time they are charging 9 bucks a thousand board ft. for road maintance that they put on somebody else, so yes they are making plenty of money.
go ahead on er.
