Anyone not hunting tomorrow want to help a new guy?
« on: October 12, 2012, 07:28:53 PM »
Going to capital forest tomorrow and IF I were to get lucky enough to have get a shot... I've never killed and dressed a deer. Advice? Volunteers to ride along and teach me? Yes it's last minute but its one if my few chances that I'm actually off work during season.

May be a little late now but checkout youtube there are some decent videos that show the process. (stay away from random redneck videos showing how fast or cool they can do it)

Yea there were a ton. Entering through E-line this morning I had 6 cars in front of me and all I could see was headlights in a line behind me. Every spot I thought I wanted to set up already had 2-4 cars near it.

It wasn't so bad entering from the c-line this morning. Seen a few cars until about 9am then it was like the ferry unloaded. We ended up seeing 11 deer no antlers and by 11am it was like hunting Vail so we took off for home
