Somewhere between 200 and 300 is my bet. I wouldn't even know where to start, nor would I care.

Why even bother trying to guess a score from a picture? It is nearly impossible on a buck like that. It will eventually get officialy score and some of you guys will still discredit the score anyway. That is an incredible deer. I can't imagine being anything but happy for the guy who shot it.

Highly unlikely!   This buck is so nice, it wouldn't matter if the score was somewhere between 200 and 300.  Nothing is going to take away from this guy.   What a beautiful animal.  There isn't one SANE member on this site that wouldn't die to harvest this buck.   I would bet most members on this site will never see an animal of this quality alive in this state.   I am still WOWED!

about 214 net NT......   so 220 class deer.

Did you just mention a net score??  Is it because the Methow is just open for steelies??  Shame on you. :chuckle:

I agree about not worrying about the score on this trophy, but am eager to hear the final score because it's been 9 years since the last 220"-230"ish buck was harvested within a 30 mile radius......to my knowledge. :)

I took the pic and I can say that without question, it does not do the animal justice. If you think it has mass, you should see it in person.

That's what I was saying Saylean, When I saw it in person, wow was the only thing I could say. I'd seen the pic's before hand and it was still awe inspiring! I told the taxidermist about the site so last night he read through the thread and had to laugh at some of the guesses, especially about it not even scoring 180. Him and I agree that regardless of score, it's still the buck of many lifetimes and nothing will diminish that. We are hoping that the hunter will come on and post his story since none of use have gotten the whole thing yet.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!

I think its the angle of the pic.... :tung:  Clearly that buck will be lucky to clear 180..... :chuckle: JK.  AWESOME deer :yike: Sounds like a cool story to  Congrats!!!

Pretty sure that was in jest to a previous monster buck thread we had.

Pretty cool to see the two racks side by side, and you all guess which one makes 200 :chuckle:

Yeah. It was pretty close to what the guy heard from the taxidermist.
