My first Blacktail
« on: October 22, 2012, 08:27:35 PM »
So after sitting on a clear cut this morning at the Capitol forest me and my father-in-law decided to head to a nice piece of reprod that we have seen lots of sign at.  About 50 feet from out parking spot my FIL yells SPIKE!!!  So i jump out of the truck and bring up my gun.....FOGGEY.... Clean it of and put the still bad sights on him, and BOOOOOM.... The spike jumps up and runs off.... Did i get him.  After about a 20 minute search, there he sits, staring at me... BOOOM... He's done now.   First shot went through the rib cage and was exposing some insides... Second shot broke his neck....  I know but with all the excitement I could barely hold the rifle...  Any how after three years of tag soup, this Blacktail Stew will be just what i need...

If we were supposed to be vegetarian God would have made broccoli more fun to shoot!
"HOYT" why would you even consider shooting something else?
