p-ohana is my nephew and was stationed at Ft. this last year, so we are missing him during deer and elk season. Did not stop him from putting the smack down on a decent whitetail buck... he will tell the story, here are the pics...

Not much of a story, 0645 walked from the truck to a spot I had picked out the week earlier, 0720 looked to my left and all I saw was his head and rack poking out from behind a tree and couldn't believe my eyes. He continued walking down a small ridge 150 yards away. One shot from my 30-06 w/ 165gr NP and he ran 20 yards and did a face plant. I still have 2 buck tags and 3 doe tags to fill. My first whitetail deer and hopefully not my last.
