I'm not seeing any rut activity where I am hunting but some of my buddy's are still seeing quite a bit of rut activity as recent as last night. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some nasty weather.

Within the last three days I have had a buck on a doe on cam... but I haven't seen any action

For a little while longer. Still no opportunities at one of the giants.

I have to work this Thursday and then Saturday to Thursday. I will be back at it the last two days and shoot a doe on the last day if a buck I want doesn't come out.

I think they're mostly done down here.  I have been strapped to my work (we have students shooting targets for the JROTC National Rifle Match this week), but I have a buddy with a muzzy tag that is still out hunting.  Talked to him tonight and he is still seeing bucks, but none pushing does.  Every buck he's been seeing is stuffing it's face...
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I was bird hunting in the Almira area last weekend. A whitetail buck chased a doe right toward me. They were running full speed, and he was grunting.

I am still learning my area and the slippery whitetail, so i have a couple questions.
Going back up for 3 days to the 204, should i sit in my tree over feed and be patient
or should i try any calling? (rattle-grunts-bleet can) Any tips from you diehard whitetail
guys would be great.

I'm hoping the rut is completely done in 101.  We are going to have a nice cold snap next week and I want the bucks away from does and on the move!
