McMillan A-3 sporter anyone?
« on: November 02, 2012, 12:00:52 AM »
I am starting my 1st custom build and I'm wondering if anyone has tried the new A-3 sporter or game scout for hunting? If not which McMillan have you used. Thanks Mark

I have a few A-5's and they are great stocks but are pretty heavy also.  MCM makes a great product and I think both of your choices would make for a great hunting/packing stock.  Manners also makes a great stock and sometimes is a little faster if you have to order one.  I like Manners T2 and MCS-T

I've handled them... they are very nice. They have a nice high cheek rest but handle similarly to the A-3 otherwise. I believe they are about 2.5 lbs.
Shouldn't ha done dat...
