Need help
so I hunt on the 10 near.Colville- I have private property and need advise
do I hunt timber and find a spot or I stay near old alfalfa fields

Maybe between the two. Catch them moving to cover in the morning and coming out to feed in the fields at night. If the property is not that big you may not want to walk the timber to much, you may spook them out of their beds and off your land or worse yet, push them to much and they go nocturnal. That would be my generic answer without knowing what your hunting area looks like

Having not seen where you plan to hunt I'd plan on going where the food is early morning and late evening. Then moving to where they're fornicating between those times. Though I'd bet who ever owns the private property knows best about that land and it's deer
I would ask the land owner first.
