well this is my last year rifle hunting for elk. wanted to switch to archery for elk this year but just did not have the time off to hunt. practiced most of the year on my calling and bugling. not a expert by no means but good enough to call in elk. got a 4 pt in 2010 and i was on a bull last year in 2011 but it just did not work out. hopefully with some luck i can fill my otc tag again. ive seen at least 40 elk the last two weekends. i saw 3 or 4 bulls. two of them were legal bulls. i live right next to most of the good westside elk units.3 of them are at least 20 to 25 minutes from where i live. im takeing my son with me again. me and him usually see alot of animals. every one be safe out there tommorow and good luck. i have the whole week off. i look forward to elk season all year gets the blood pumping.
