1st Pics
« on: September 01, 2008, 08:48:45 PM »
Just checked my new camara and there I was. Also got what I think is a button head (what yall think?) Several frames had nothing in them including one after dark. Any ideas as to why nothing was there? I was thinking that maybe the opening was to small and something set it of from beyond the trees? :dunno:

the one with nothing in them normaly is because there is a delay on the camera and the aniaml probably jsut ran by set of sensor and takes 3 sec to take the picture and during that time it was out of the frame.   but at least you know that there is a little one poking around out there.

point the camera down a trail instead of across a trail and you will not miss any animals
that use it.

I finally figure out that a lot of my “false” trips were set off by squirrels and other small creatures that are hard to see in the photo.  Some of the night trips just show a pair of glowing eyes in the bush.

LOOK FOR WELL WELL USED TRAIL`S WITH SCRAPES MAYBE I HAVE 8 CAMS AND USED THEM ALL EARLY SEASON ILL TRY TO GIVE YOU THE BEST TIPS I KNOW
1.LOCATION
2.TRAILS MEANING USED TRAIL`S
3.OFF THE MAIN ROAD PATH BACK IN THE WOODS SO YOU DONT LOOSE YOUR CAMERA
4.CHECK IT ONCE A WEEK(IF YOU GO INTO YOUR CAMERA SET UP SPRAY YOU DOWN WITH SCENT AWAY)
5.BE PATIENT
6.BRING A CARD TAKE A CARD READER
7.APPLES AND MORE APPLES GOOD LUCK
8.ALSO DONT FACE YOUR CAMER DIRECTLY AT THE TRAIL,ANGLE IT UP OR DOWN SO YOU DONT MISS A GREAT SHOT AND IT WILL GIVE THE CAMERA MORE TIME TO GET THE SHOT
9.ALSO KNOW WHICH WAY THE SUN RISES AND FALLS BECAUSE YOU WILL GET SUN BLURS IN THE MORNING AND EVENING..
take your kids hunting
