I asked last year and no answer but if I take my boat out, drop a light, would that work? I think it should and are there any spots up north since I keep my boat in La Conner. Squid are everywhere?
. I have heard mukilteo, and kyak pt.? :dunno:

Squid are everywhere, yes. You have to kinda know them or get lucky to find them in open water sometimes. If you can figure out where the nests were in the summer and intercept them you will clean up. More light the better. Don't fish the light though, fish the border. Dont let the jig hit the bottom, don't let it come within 6" of the surface. They kind of school so it's usually a lightening storm of squid and then sheer boredom for a while. I may go out thursday morning in the wee hours.

You could, but I'd keep close to shore.

I was thinking just outside Deception pass in the shallows, any input?

I'm not too familiar with that area. I would venture a guess and say give it a shot. They're all over the place, but seem to congregate closer to shore about 2-3 hours before high tide.
