I have spent 6 days so far down in the Green Mt Elk area with an antlerless permit, have seen several what would have been legal elk but all behind "No Trespassing" signs.  This unit covers part of SW Winston & NW Coweeman.  I know of 4 bulls taken from that area, all the bulls were in timber patches and alone.

Check out the 4530 line off South toutle rd.  Saw some elk up there last Friday, but couldnt put 3 on any of them.  Lots of elk in that country.  Good luck.

The 4530 is actually off end of Parker Rd, were you in a green Dodge by chance?
