Vail Tree Farm Grouse Hunting

I'm looking to introduce my son to Grouse hunting and heard about this area. I've never hunted Grouse on the West side before. Anybody been there? Is it a good spot? Any particulars I should know about?  Any info is appreciated. Thanks

There are a ton of little spur roads off of the main line that you can find grouse on.  I prefer to go straight at the Y instead of up hill, head out until you start getting into the upper Deschutes area and just pick an overgrown side road. There are some good ones up past the West Fork. (3400-on up)
