Good luck!

I tried to find your camp just after dark yesterday. Did you set up somewhere else?

A horrible horrible unproductive hunt.   I (gasp) missed a buck in the first twenty  mins of hunting. A small fork, as I was looking to secure meat for camp, as I was going to stay all the way until the 15th.. Dang set trigger!  All during the next week, was treated to the sounds of hounds! While beautiful to listen to, it did molest my hunt.  Turns out, some Makah are avid hound hunters, and even got an invite next year to come along. They were awfully nice to me and didn't know I was there (I was dropped off, so no rig at the gate) and apologized. So I couldn't really move to a new area, b/c I don't drive.   They were stacking up some nice bear an cats!      So friday, I stash and cache camp, and make the long march up the Hoko Ozette rd back to hiway 112. No phone nor rig, no friendly stranger to lend a ride. 17.9 miles is a long way! and another six or so to Clallam Bay. Broke down the ml, stashed it in my pack under wraps of my oil skin coat and a bus back to P.A.     All those elk I was falling over were flat gone and moved out. Not one single elk.  Did put a sneak on a dandy 3x4 buck, who was oblivious, but an unseen doe busted me..   Lord, I hope my season isn't done. Even thinking about a cow unit, thats how hungry I am. But I don't drive, so Im kinda stuck......Anyone need some help packing?

BTW, the Makah thought I was foolish for using a muzzleloader. They even offered me use of a beater 30'06 for the duration of my hunt! What a nice group of guys!

I've encountered some of the Makah in 602 during late muzzy deer.  They wondered why I was using a muzzy too.  They were spotlighting the clearcuts at night and were like...you want to just come shoot at night with us?  Uhhh....it would be fun, but I cant.
