Tree squirrels?
« on: December 02, 2012, 04:03:42 PM »
Is there a squirrel season in Washington?

If not, why not?   :dunno:

I don't know any squirrel hunters here. Used to thoroughly enjoy squirrel hunting when I was stationed back east, loooong ago.

Some areas have Eastern Gray Squirrels now.  They are considered an invasive species, so they are not protected like the native squirrels.  Bad news is, they are mostly found inside city limits, so they can only be trapped.
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

Depending on the city, some don't have an ordinance against using air rifles within the city limits. I have gotten rid of most of the eastern grays around my place and once again have native squirrels and chipmunks. Just make sure that you read and understand the city ordinance inside and out.
