Some areas have Eastern Gray Squirrels now. They are considered an invasive species, so they are not protected like the native squirrels. Bad news is, they are mostly found inside city limits, so they can only be trapped.

I have gotten rid of most of the eastern grays around my place and once again have native squirrels and chipmunks.
