Well I tried real hard to sway her to a G19,
But she's too hi brow for a ugly black gun, has to have a "pretty 1911". Lol
Mostly a Range gun, so weight isn't an issue

I have shot an EMP, and while it was accurate, it had possibly the heaviest trigger I have ever experienced in a 1911.
Nice looking piece, but not the greatest shooter.

they also have a heavy spring in the slide, hard to manipulate without strong hands and if shooting light frangibles smoke stacks are common

Interesting, one of her requirements was being able to easily work the slide. She handled the Glock just fine, but ya I don't wanna waist $1300+ on a gun she won't shoot..,

Does it have to be a 1911?
Sig P938 is possibly the coolest looking new pistol I have seen.
It's 9mm, and it's a Sig.

I looked at a 9mm and a .40.  The 9mm was a cool gun.  The .40 had such a heavy spring in it, I had trouble racking the slide.  The 9mm is a better choice, in my opinion. Plus, they do look cool!  :twocents:
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

My dad and quite a few friends have the P238 in 380, and the All LOVE it!!  That's the gun I tried to get her, but the dang slide was so small she had a hard time pulling it back.  I haven't  had a chance to get my hands on the 938 yet, but that is a great idea!
